Systemic & Fourth-Party Risk

See the risk hidden behind your vendors.

Your vendors rely on their own providers. Cynapze maps those fourth parties, classifies what it finds, and shows where risk concentrates across your extended supply chain.

Cynapze platform - Systemic & Fourth-Party Risk
The challenge

Where a direct-vendor view leaves you exposed

01

The providers behind your providers

A breach two layers down can reach you as easily as one at a direct vendor.

02

Shadow vendors nobody logged

Suppliers connect to your environment without ever being formally recorded.

03

Hidden concentration

Several of your vendors may depend on the same provider, a single point of failure you can't see.

04

A register built from memory

Manually maintained lists drift out of date the moment relationships change.

05

No early warning on shared risk

When a widely used provider is hit, most organizations find out last.

06

Fourth parties outside every framework

Sub-providers rarely appear in the registers regulators expect you to keep.

The solution

How Cynapze solves Systemic & Fourth-Party Risk

Step 01 of 04

Collective Intelligence

Systemic risk graph: your company, its third parties, their fourth parties and your customers, with security grades and riskier chains highlighted

Build a live graph of your vendors and the providers they depend on.

See how vendors interconnect, so exposure two steps out becomes visible.

Surface concentration where several vendors rely on the same provider.

Extend the same view to your regulated register, fourth parties included.

Step 02 of 04

Discover fourth parties

Automatic Vendor Detection: probable fourth parties found automatically, with their security score

Auto-detect vendors and sub-providers against a directory of 300,000 companies, not a blank list.

Classify each vendor from (AI-detected) probable fourth party, to monitored or managed vendor.

Close shadow IT blind spots without waiting for a manual declaration.

Keep the register current as relationships change, not once a year.

Step 03 of 04

Get early warning

Risk Center Advices: AI-highlighted vendors, trends and advices feed

Get early warning when a shared provider is affected, across every vendor that relies on it.

Match emerging threats against the extended graph, not just direct vendors, to ultimately identify and rank systemic risk chains.

Leverage systemic risk chains to see at a glance which of your relationships a single incident touches.

Alert the owners of every affected vendor at the same time, and ultimately create a remediation plan across the board.

Step 04 of 04

Act on concentration

Remediation plans shared and coordinated across companies exposed to the same vendor

Weigh each dependency by how many critical functions rely on it.

Prioritize the shared providers that would hurt most if they failed.

Turn a concentration finding into a remediation plan with an owner and a due date.

Report on systemic exposure for your board or your regulator.

Outcomes

A network view, not a list of vendors

Cynapze shows the shared and fourth-party exposure a single-vendor view can never reveal, so concentration surfaces before it fails together.

1

Two steps out

Fourth parties in view, not just the vendors you contract with directly.

2

Concentration made visible

See where many vendors depend on the same provider.

3

Early warning on shared risk

When a shared provider is hit, everyone monitoring it is alerted at once.

4

Shadow vendors surfaced

Auto-detection finds the suppliers a manual list would miss.

5

Register that stays current

Your extended supply chain, kept up to date automatically.

What is Cynapze?
Cynapze is a third-party risk management platform. It helps organizations monitor, assess, and document the cybersecurity posture of their vendors and suppliers, all from one place.
Who is Cynapze built for?
Cynapze is built for organizations that need to manage vendor risk at scale, from security teams and risk officers to finance leaders who need visibility without becoming security experts.
How is Cynapze different from a spreadsheet or a manual review process?
Manual processes go stale the moment they're finished. Cynapze replaces static, point-in-time reviews with continuous monitoring, structured assessments, and a single record of every vendor's risk over time.
Do I need a security background to use Cynapze?
No. The platform is designed for both technical and non-technical roles, with role-based views that adapt to what each person on your team actually needs to see.
Can Cynapze scale with my vendor portfolio as it grows?
Yes. Whether you're managing a handful of vendors or several dozen, Cynapze is built to add vendors, assign criticality, and track risk without the process breaking down as your portfolio grows.
How long does it take to get started?
After creating your account, a guided setup walks you through completing your company profile, inviting team members, and adding your first vendors. Every step can be skipped and resumed later.
What do I need to add a vendor?
Just the vendor's name and domain to begin monitoring. From there, you can assign criticality, send assessment questionnaires, and build out their full risk profile over time.
Can I invite my team to use the platform?
Yes. Company admins can invite team members and assign them roles that determine what they can see and do within the platform.
What happens after I add a vendor?
Once a vendor is added, you can choose to actively manage them, which triggers ongoing monitoring, lets you send assessment questionnaires, and allows you to track remediation plans tied to their risk profile.
How do I get help if I run into an issue?
A help center with searchable articles and contextual guidance is available directly in the platform, alongside a contact form for direct support requests.
What subscription tiers does Cynapze offer?
Four tiers: Freemium, Silver, Gold, and Platinum. Each tier increases the number of vendors you can actively manage and the depth and frequency of monitoring data available.
How many vendors can I manage on each tier?
Freemium does not include active vendor management. Silver supports up to 10 managed vendors, Gold up to 25, and Platinum up to 50.
Is there a free trial?
Cynapze does not currently offer a time-limited free trial. The Freemium tier lets you explore the platform with a one-time vendor score, without an ongoing subscription.
How does billing work?
Subscriptions are billed annually. Upgrading to a higher tier takes effect immediately, with the price difference prorated. Downgrading takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
Can I cancel my subscription at any time?
Subscription cancellation is handled by our support team rather than through self-service. Reach out and we'll take care of it.
Does Cynapze help with NIS2 compliance?
Yes. Cynapze includes questionnaire templates aligned to NIS2 requirements and gives you the continuous monitoring, documentation, and audit trail needed to demonstrate supplier oversight.
Does Cynapze help with DORA compliance?
Yes. Cynapze covers the ICT third-party risk management pillar of DORA, with continuous monitoring of ICT providers, structured due diligence, and reporting aligned to DORA's documentation expectations.
Does Cynapze cover GDPR requirements?
Cynapze helps you monitor and document the security posture of vendors processing personal data on your behalf, supporting the due diligence expectations under Article 28. It is not a full GDPR compliance management tool.
Can I generate compliance reports directly from Cynapze?
Yes. You can generate reports from your vendor data aligned to the frameworks you work with, ready to share with auditors, regulators, or your own leadership.
Does Cynapze automatically map my vendor data to specific regulatory controls?
Not automatically. Cynapze gives you the structured data, documentation, and audit trail that support your compliance work, but framework-to-control mapping is not an automated feature in the current version.
Where is my data hosted?
Your data is hosted on a SecNumCloud sovereign cloud, the qualification issued by ANSSI, the French national cybersecurity agency, with no dependency on US cloud providers. This reflects a deliberate choice to support data sovereignty for European organizations.
Is Cynapze built with European compliance standards in mind?
Yes. The platform's hosting and infrastructure choices are built around European digital sovereignty principles, reflecting the regulatory environment our customers operate in.
Is my company's data isolated from other Cynapze customers?
Yes. Cynapze is a multi-tenant platform with strict data isolation between companies. Each organization only has access to its own data and the vendors it manages.
Who can see my vendor risk data inside my organization?
Access is role-based. Company admins control which roles can see what, including detailed technical findings, so sensitive data stays restricted to the people who need it.
Where does Cynapze get its security data from?
Cynapze integrates with SecurityScorecard, an established security ratings provider, as its data source. Cynapze adds the layer on top: vendor categorization, risk prioritization, questionnaires, remediation tracking, and reporting.
